KOA’s Whitney Scott to Present Workshop Highlighting 2018 North American Camping Report

(Fairfax, VA) The 2018 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will feature an hour-long workshop in the sales and rentals track presented by Whitney Scott, Vice President of Marketing at Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA).  The session, “A Shifting Market: Highlights from the 2018 KOA North American Camping Report”, takes place Thursday, Nov. 8 at 3:15 p.m. In this workshop, attendees will get detailed information on today’s campers based on KOA’s groundbreaking survey of active campers.  Attendees will learn about the changing demographics of today’s campers, the characteristics are of new campers entering the market, and what percentage of RV campers own vs. rent.


A first-time speaker at the convention, Scott oversees all national marketing initiatives, as well as marketing functions that serve both the KOA franchise system and its corporately owned campgrounds. She is also in charge of KOA’s customer service, brand development, loyalty program (Value Kard Rewards), and international marketing initiatives. 


The convention is sponsored by RVDA–The National RV Dealers Association, RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center. Track workshops, condensed into shorter timeframes, have been developed by the RV Learning Center for fast-paced, on target, and engaging presentations. The tracked education program includes targeted content on F&I, sales, social media/eMarketing, fixed operations, rental operations, and general management. In its planning, the convention committee focuses on dynamic presentations of the most current topics and strives to bring many new presenters to the convention.
