The 50th Anniversary Hershey America’s Largest RV Show, hosted by the Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association (PRVCA), reports 59,284 attendees during its successful, five-day show, September 12-16 at the Giant CenterSM, Hershey, Pennsylvania. The show featured 1,400 new RVs on display, 155 booth vendors and 42 manufacturers covering nearly one million net square feet of display space.

“We’re grateful the weather held,” says Heather Leach, PRVCA executive director. “While attendance was down slightly from last year due to hurricane impacting North Carolina and Virginia, it was still a great show. We received a lot of positive feedback from the manufacturers and dealers that they had solid sales.”

PRVCA held educational seminars on Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11. Professional trainers provided sessions on Atwood/Dometic, Cummins, Horizon Global, Lippert, Marshall Excelsiar, MorRyde, SealTech, Thetford and Tekonsha.

In addition, the association hosted a 50th Anniversary dinner and silent auction at the AACA Automotive Museum. The celebration featured awards to Tom Schaeffer’s Camping and Travel Center
for supporting and participating in PRVCA’s education programs; Dan Saltzgiver, Camping World of Hanover, for his dedicated 14-years-service as America’s Largest RV Show chairman; and to Brad Rhone, Rhone’s RV, for his leadership and support during his term as PRVCA chairman. In addition, Ed Flick, retired Fulton Bank, received the first Rebecca Lenington Volunteer of the Year award for his extraordinary service to PRVCA. The award is named for PRVCA’s former executive vice president who served the association for more
than 37 years.
