The Pennsylvania Campground Owners Association (PCOA) has a strong lineup of business workshops planned for its 55th Annual Convention and Trade Show, December 2-5, 2018, at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College, Pa.
Campground owners will want to attend the food safety testing session on Sunday, December 2, while pesticides will be the focus on Monday, December 3. Campgrounds can earn education credits and test for pesticide licensing in category 23 and 24. On Tuesday, December 4, all businesses can benefit from the workshops covering accounting, marketing, human resources, social media and business plans. Wednesday, December 5 sessions feature topics such as handling complaints, cyber security, developing agreements and enforcing rules, landscaping and eradicating bed bugs.
Toby O’Rourke, president of Kampgrounds of America, Inc., is the featured guest speaker on Tuesday, December 4, during the 12:45 to 2 p.m. luncheon. On Tuesday evening, PCOA will host a Hawaiian-themed banquet. Guests are requested to wear tropical attire.
The conference will feature a trade show open Monday, Dec. 3 from noon to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, December 4 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
