50th anniversaryPennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association (PRVCA) staff members are making the final plans for its 50th Anniversary America’s Largest RV Show, September 10-16 at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa. If you haven’t registered to attend, please register ASAP.

Since the RV Industry Association (RVIA) cancelled The National RV Trade Show in Louisville in favor of its new RVX event in 2019, Hershey is the premier venue to view the 2019 products and accessories, talk to your manufacturer representatives, network and attend education sessions to obtain your continuing education credits.

PRVCA reserves Monday, September 10 as an Education Day, featuring technician training, and Tuesday, September 11 as Dealer Day with exhibits open to industry staff as well as more education events.

The RV Doctor, Gary Bunzer, will present SealTech Leak Testing September 10 and 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A water leak penetrating the exterior of the RV is difficult to diagnose and can cause serious damage. Bunzer will provide a hands-on segment to train technicians to determine any exterior air or water leak with 100% accuracy.

Other sessions on Monday, September 10 include Dometic Air Conditioning and Atwood Water Heating Training from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; LP Gas Systems with Marshall Excelsiar from 10 a.m. to 12 noon; RV toilets and sanitation system care with Thetford from 10 a.m. to 12 noon; Horizon Global Training for Reese weight distribution and sway control, 5th wheel hitches and mounting systems; Tekonsha ZCI “Snap Don’t Snip” tow vehicle wiring and Bull Dog powered 5th wheel landing legs.

On Tuesday, September 11, technicians can attend sessions on electric leveling and in-wall slide-outs or Cummins training on engines and generators from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dealer Day featured sessions include Social Media 101: Master the Basics of Building your online brand; Selling the Easiest Customer First presented by KMS Keller, and The ABCs of Trailer Suspension with MorRyde. In addition, the show exhibits open for a special preview on Tuesday, September 11.

On Tuesday, September 11, PRVCA will celebrate its 50th Anniversary at the Membership Dinner at the AACA Antique Auto Museum in Hershey. Join us for cocktails and a tour of the museum exhibits; a delicious buffet dinner and reminisce about the last 50 years of Pennsylvania RV Shows. Other highlights include recognition for Chairman’s Awards, Education Achievement and Volunteer of the Year; and the popular silent auction featuring exciting items such as signed sports memorabilia, electronics, gift baskets and overnight stays.

The dealer show preview, education events and membership dinner are FREE for PRVCA members. Registration is required to attend. Register
