The RV Industry Association (RVIA) reported total shipments were down -20.3 percent from last November. Its November manufacturers survey found that total RV shipments finished the month with 33,023 wholesale shipments, a decrease of -20.3% from the 41,451 units shipped last November.
Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, totaled 28,868 units for the month, a decrease of -20.8 percent compared to last November’s towable RV shipment total of 36,464. Motorhomes ended November with 4,155 shipments to retailers, down -16.7 percent compared to last November’s total of 4,987.
According to RVIA, wholesale shipments are currently at 455,309 units, down -2.8 percent compared to last year at this time. Towable RVs are down -2.3% percent at 400,880 units; motorhome shipments are down -6.1 percent at 54,429 units, compared to totals through November 2017. Park Model RVs ended the month with 277 wholesale shipments, a gain of 0.7% compared to last November. To date, Park Model RVs are down -5.2 percent with 3,607 shipments.
