RV wholesale shipments were down 15.2% in April, according to the RV Industry Association. The association’s April manufacturers’ survey found wholesale shipments at 40,243, a decrease of 15.2 percent from 47,442 units shipped last April.
Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, were down 13.7 percent as 35,718 units shipped, compared to 41,411 units last April. A total of 4,525 motorhomes shipped in April, down 25 percent compared to April 2018, when 6,031 units shipped.
During April, RV shipments reached 140,219 units, down 24 percent from 185,528 units in April 2018.
Park Model shipments are still on the rise, shipping 21.7 percent more at 449 shipments to retailers. Last year, 369 Park Model RVs shipped in April.
