Outdoor Recreation Roundtable’s (ORR) Executive Director Jessica Turner will present “What’s Ahead for the Outdoor Recreation Industry,” a new on-demand workshop that will be available throughout the 2020 RV Dealers Virtual Convention/Expo. Scheduled for November 9 through 20, the event will be hosted online by RVDA, RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
ORR — the nation’s leading coalition of outdoor recreation trade associations made up of 33 national associations serving more than 110,000 businesses — brings together all elements of the outdoor recreation business community, which contributes $778 billion in output, comprises 2.2% of GDP and supports 5.2 million jobs, to educate policy makers on key issues. These issues include access to public lands and better ways to manage visitor services at the federal and state level. In this on-demand session, Turner outlines what is ahead for the outdoor industry in the coming year following some major legislative victories that will increase funding for public lands infrastructure – including campground modernization.
In this workshop, Turner will discuss:
- The collective impact of outdoor recreation on GDP
- Implementation of the Great American Outdoor Act
- The importance of new state offices for outdoor recreation
A catalog of on-demand sessions, Vendor Training +Plus workshops, and all virtual exhibit booths will be available to access anytime from the beginning of the show through Jan. 31, 2021.
