The RV Industry Association recently confirmed Omar Johnson, former chief marketing officer for Beats by Dre and vice president of marketing for Apple, will join the Industry Disruptors panel at RVX on Thursday, March 14 in Salt Lake
City, Utah. The panelists, led by tech expert and emmy-winning writer Kate Linendoll, will discuss how change management can lead to innovation and what we can learn from other industries that have gone through disruption during the session from 8:45 to 9:45
a.m. at the Salt Palace Ballroom.
At Beats by Dre, Johnson helped take the company from $120 million to a $1.1 billion dollar global icon and category leader, becoming the #1 premium headphone in North America, UK, France, Germany, South Korea and Singapore. Before joining Beats, Johnson led innovative marketing programs for international brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods and Campbell Soup. Adweek named Johnson a “Brand Genius” in 2013, and Business Insider named him one of the “Most Innovative CMOs” in 2016.
Uri Levine, co-founder of Waze, will also serve on the panel. Levine, a serial entrepreneur and disruptor, co-founded Waze, the world’s largest driving traffic and navigation app. More than 250 million drivers around the globe use Waze, which was acquired by Google in 2013 for more than $1.1 billion. After a 30-year career in the high-tech business, Levine has seen everything ranging from failure, middle success and extreme success. He regularly speaks on entrepreneurship, disruption, evolution vs. revolutions of markets, mobility and startups.
