The Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association (PRVCA) presented the Gary Bunzer Education Award and the Rebecca Lenington Volunteer of the Year Award during its virtual annual meeting on Tuesday, November 16.

2021 AwardeesSusquehanna RV won the Gary Bunzer Education Award for the third year in a row for attending the most PRVCA training sessions in 2020-21. Executive Director Heather Leach presented the award to Jon Jones, service manager. The dealership sent 24 employees attend eight different trainings throughout the year.

“Congratulations to Susquehanna RV and thank you for attending our education programs,” Leach said.  “The challenge is out there to see if any dealership can attend more trainings in the coming year. I encourage all of our members to take advantage of our free and low-cost trainings. Please be on the lookout for the upcoming courses we will have this winter.”

Brad Bryant, Bryant’s RV Showcase, is the 2021 Rebecca Lenington Volunteer of the Year. Since he is currently in Florida, Leach surprised him with the award over Zoom and thanked him for his work as chairman of the education committee and his involvement with the association for more than 20 years.

“In 2020 when we couldn’t have the show, PRVCA found a way to help the industry the best way it could through improving our education program,” Leach said. “You brought the leadership necessary to accomplish something very important – bringing quality education to our members and that’s something our members will benefit from for years to come.”

Peers in the RV industry nominate the volunteers for the award, which is named for retired long-time PRVCA Executive Vice President Rebecca Lenington.

The Education Award was named the Gary Bunzer Education Award for industry consultant, speaker and trainer Gary Bunzer, who passed away in 2020.
