Richard "Dick" Farnsworth, 95, a former chairman and board member of the Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle & Camping Association (PRVCA) passed away on Thursday, September 19 at his residence in Elysburg, Pennsylvania.

Farnsworth founded and operated Farnsworth Camping Center in Elysburg and retired in 1992. He was a member of PRVCA board of directors from 1985 - 1991 and served as chairman from 1988-89.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce (Yocum) Farnsworth; his son Gary Farnsworth and his wife Janice of Elysburg, Pa.; his daughter Karen Wolfkiel of San Diego, California; two grandsons, Aaron Farnsworth and his wife Brittany, and Jesse Farnsworth of Elysburg, Pa.; and two great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Monday, November 25, 2024, at 12 noon at Elysburg Presbyterian Church, 320 West Valley Avenue, Elysburg, Pa., with his pastor, the Reverend Ted Justice officiating. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
