PennDOT continues to conduct extensive audits of their Online Service Providers and their agents.
These audits focus on accuracy and completion of paperwork, as well as missing transactions.
Some of the most common processing errors include:

• MV-752 must be completed and included with each transaction when a fee override is performed and the correct code must be used. MV-752 is now accessible to agents in the forms library through Dealer Track. MV-752 can also be found at: https://apps.paa.org/files/mv752.pdf

Fee Overrides are required when:
• A certificate of title is being transferred to a surviving spouse.
• to waive the automatically applied additional sales tax due of 1% or 2% and/or the $5 County Fee for Local Use if they do not reside in a participating county.
• to correct owner/lessee information while in the tanking period.
• to override the $5 County Fee for Local Use when a customer lives in a county that has passed an ordinance to implement the fee for local use and the customer doesn’t have the additional $5 to complete the initial registration or renewal transaction.
• Owner Lessee Corrections, Lien Maintenance, Reissue Materials, Renew Reg Transactions are all required to be signed.
• Processed transactions not submitted within the required timeframe.
• Paperwork is incomplete and/or missing signatures
• A valid DLDV printout report must be sent with the application. All agents involved with title and registration transactions have been required to use the Driver’s License Data Verification (DLDV) system and process regardless of online status.

Beware Copies of ID are Legible
Dealership salesperson and title personnel who are photocopying the front and back of acceptable identification must ensure that the copy they are making is legible. Often, repeated copies of copies or originally obtained images that are too dark will not properly scan to PennDOT. Legible, lighter copies of identification (i.e. Driver’s Licenses) are more effectively scanned to PennDOT and will result in reduced audit violations.
