REMINDER: Installment Seller's License Renewal
Dealers are reminded to immediately complete Installment Seller’s License renewals. The email notification was sent
to the licensing contact listed on the store’s license on July 15. Dealers should ensure this information is not missed due to turnover at the dealership.
Installment seller’s licenses enable dealerships and other businesses to engage in third party financing. These licenses should be renewed online , scroll down to “Login” where you’ll be directed to the Keystone Login site.
To update the licensing contact, one of the authorized users with access to the portal will need to log in and make the change. If the current licensing contact is also the only authorized user and is no longer with the company, someone will need to submit a request to the Department of Banking to gain access to the store’s portal. A letter from the owner should be sufficient. It should include the company name, DOB license number (if available), and a statement authorizing “John Doe” to have access to the company’s account with the DOB.
Dealers will need to monitor their email and the site so that once approved by the Department of Banking and Securities, they can download the renewed certificate directly from the site, print it, and display it at the dealership.
Failure to have a renewed installment seller’s license by October 1, 2025, will prevent the dealership from being able to engage in third party financing.
