RV Techs Train at Industry Days
The Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle & Camping Association (PRVCA) hosted the industry for two training days and a show preview day, September 8 – 9, at the 56th Annual America’s Largest RV Show® in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Two-hundred thirty-six people participated in training this year, that’s up from 222 in 2024. They learned about servicing RV axles and electric braking systems in separate sessions for Level 2 and Level 3 technicians; Xantrex lithium batteries, solar, inverter and chargers; MorRyde RVTI Level 3 training; RV propane systems; RV electricity; Dometic furnaces; Furrion refrigerator and air conditioner training by Lippert; and Cummins RV generator and engine training.
Many industry attendees participated in the show preview on Tuesday, September 9. It provided dealers with the opportunity to meet with manufacturer representatives and tour the 2026 models without the large crowds on public days. There were nearly 1,500 new RVs on display from 40 manufacturers. Outside Van participated for the first time this year as a new Class B offering. Lancaster Log Cabins and Kropf Industries were also first-time exhibitors as PRVCA expanded the park model space.
The association also provided RV career exploration to 28 students from Reading-Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center and Shippensburg Area High School. The students visited several exhibitors where they had the opportunity to learn about RV careers and ask industry professionals questions. They also participated in the hands-on training from Dexter Axle and learned about RV electricity during the education sessions. They finished their day at the show by touring the many RVs on display.
