The Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association (PRVCA) unveiled its new training RV on September 10 at America’s Largest RV Show® in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This new mobile classroom will provide RV technicians with access to hands-on training.

"The idea for this new mobile training unit began three years ago in a strategic planning meeting," says PRVCA Executive Director Heather Leach. "Dealers don’t always have the time or extra manpower to send their staff to off-site locations for training. With this new training RV, we are bringing the training to them."

The 2024 Forest River Vengeance Rogue 29SUT is wrapped with colorful graphics on one side relaying its purpose as the PRVCA Education and Training RV and on the other side promoting America’s Largest RV Show® – PRVCA’s two big initiatives.

"Inside, the main living quarters are intact for students,” says James Lubomski, PRVCA education director. “The garage area now houses training stations where students can complete training on multiple topics at a workstation. Up to eight students can train at a time."

Following the classroom training, students can use what they have learned and practice on the RV. Areas they will train to learn include basic RV inspection, electrical, water, propane testing and appliance maintenance.

PRVCA contracts with a certified trainer who will travel with the RV to train the students.

“This new RV represents a significant investment in PRVCA members,” says Heather Leach, PRVCA executive director. “It will help the association continue its mission and commitment to provide valuable education and training programs.”

The RV was open for tours following the press conference at the Giant Center^SM, Hershey, PA. A group of women technicians are learning on the RV during the show this week and will test to become Level 1 RV Technicians.

“We’re excited to roll out this new RV to our members,” says James Lubomski, education director.

“RV techs in Pennsylvania and surrounding states will be able to progress in their careers through access to local training.”
